How do I sign up for service?
Simply click here to go to the request a quote form and fill it out or give us a call. If you are requesting a quote for lawn maintenance we will send someone to your home and leave a quote at your door. If you are requesting a construction quote we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with you. Then simply review the quote and return a signed copy to us.
Once I sign up for service what should I expect?
You will receive a confirmation package in the mail with information on the services you have confirmed, other services available in your area and payment options. You will also be on the list to have the services performed at the correct time of year in a professional manner by a fully trained, uniformed and insured crew.
When will my spring cleanup be done?
Spring clean ups are completed in one visit throughout April and early May. Book this service early to ensure your lawn is the envy of the neighbourhood!
What is the weekly lawn cutting season?
Weekly lawn cutting starts the first full week of May and continues through until the last week of October. It includes weekly visits and to the best of our ability these are on the same day of the week although weather and holidays can periodically change this.
How are fall clean ups done to ensure my leaves are removed?
The fall clean ups are done using a 2 visit method, over the course of a month. This ensures that leaves are removed in a timely fashion. This service is critical as leaves allowed to remain on the lawn throughout the winter could be detrimental to your lawns health. We remove the leaves from your property and do not leave them bagged at you curb.
When will you plow my driveway?
Our goal is to have all driveways cleared within 8 hours of the end of a light snowfall. During a heavy snowfall of 4 inches or more only your driveway may be cleared. We will continue to plow until the snow has stopped and all snow has been cleared from driveways and walkways. We can not guarantee a specific time that your driveway will be cleared by. You can rest assured that every effort is being made to get your driveway cleared in a timely fashion.

Why do you use annual landscape maintenance agreements?
There are several reasons we use Annual Landscape Maintenance Agreements. First, we can calculate our labor needs for the season. Additionally, the agreement states what services are to be rendered and at what frequency. Landscape Maintenance Agreements also help the customer average out the cost of landscape maintenance so that each monthly invoice is the same.
How Do I know what services you have done?
Each time we visit your property, we will leave a slip at your door with the services we performed checked off, as well as any recommendations we may see on your property.
Do you warranty your work?
Yes we warranty all of our work. Please refer to the estimate you have been provided for more detailed information.
How often will I be billed?
New lawn maintenance customers will be invoiced at the end of each month. Returning customers are asked to send postdated cheques for each month of service. This option is also open to new customers.
Do you accept credit cards?
No, Sorry at this time we do not.
What is your policy for late payments?
Our regular customers will have their invoices sent to them at the end of each month for the work performed that month. The due date is the 15th of the following month. If payment is not received by the 25th of the following month a late fee will be charged to the account. For one time customers invoices will be delivered at the conclusion of the job. The invoice will contain a due date and the same 10-day grace period applies before a late fee is charged. If you have any questions or have a problem making a payment for some reason please call our office before your payment is due. Please note that large jobs are likely to have custom payment schedules (which you will be fully disclosed before the job starts), and may have slightly different requirements for late payments.
What effect will inclement weather have on the project deadline?
We do our best to not let Mother Nature stop us from working or slowing us down, but sometimes she just doesn't want to play along. If weather is bad enough we may have to adjust the schedule for the job. Any changes to the schedule will be made fully aware to the client as soon as the decision to make changes has been made.
How long will you be working?
The time frame for your project will depend on the scope of the project and weather conditions.
Will my yard be a mess while you are working?
We take pride in working on a clean work site. We clean up the site at the end of every day to ensure that the project does not interfere with your daily routine.
Who will be working on my property?
Employees of Orchid Unique Landscaping will be the only people working on your property. We have a strict set of guidelines which our crews must follow to provide you with a safe and pleasant experience.
Will you be using the proper installation techniques?
To us there is simply no other way. We do not cut corners to try and cut a few costs jeopardizing the quality of the job. We seek perfection in every project so that it is as good today as it will be in 5 and 10 years. We fully warranty our work.
Will there be loud equipment and trucks on my property?
Depending on the project that is being completed it is likely that there will be some equipment and trucks on your property. We make every effort to keep noise to a minimum while working.
